David Coursey is a brand name in hi-tech. A 25-year technology veteran, he is best known for commenting about technology companies as a journalist working for leading publications and sites. As a consultant, he has worked for industry giants Intuit, Microsoft, Intel, HP, and Trend Micro, as well as startups like yap.TV, Adap.tv and others.
David works with MarCom for technology clients on strategy, branding, go-to-market, product definition and writing. His skills in training, and hosting video productions is invaluable. He helps develop marketing strategies, works with the development team on product and user experience issues, hosts corporate events and is part of the corporate editorial team.
Most recently, David has been working closely with MarCom client SoftKrypt, to develop EasyKrypt, affordable, easy-to-use data protection software products, and its patented Blackening™ anti-piracy encryption technology. Work has included defining the market, product development and writing.
David established his brand name in technology as a writer for PC World, Infoworld, ZDNet, Computerworld, eWeek and many other publications. He was formerly a CNET Radio and TV commentator and radio talk show host. He is a former host and producer of the DEMO conference. He is also the author of two books published by Peachpit Press.
An experienced trainer and broadcaster, he is also an expert on emergency communications, crisis management, and disaster planning. His Ham radio is usually always nearby.
